Ok so you're talking about MSI or EVGA software here, not MSI or EVGA cards, correct?

I don't overclock, don't mess with fan control, and the only utility I use is D3DOverrider to force triple buffering in D3D games.

These drivers dont work with old games like falcon 4 allied force so im going back to 188.25...the best all round driver for all games including fallout 3.

ive just been watching ufc on ch5 tv channel catch up and had a ie crash , looked in system info to see what caused it and its the nvd3dum.dll from this latest set of drivers

never had an error like that before with any drivers , so a bit puzzled maybe related to your error video playback issue with these drivers

Have you tried deleting config files in My docs/my games/Dirt 2?

    Works fine here too.

The witcher on AFR2 still showing lights through objects.
    Did not happen with 195.

Wow, those drivers are great, at least for me, and compared to the previous 195.47, I've gained considerable performance in Dawn of War II (based on the integrated benchmark) of approximately 20% at minimum frames rate alone, and I went from a maximum frames rate of 54 to 66 (again, based on the benchmark). Additionally, my performance in Fallout 3 is better by around 5 FPS or so, and TF2 runs much smoother than before. I still got a lot of games to try out but so far it's just amazing, to be honest I never had that much of a performance gain before simply by updating the drivers (and by keeping the exact same settings at that, no optimizations enabled, PhysX enabled, Maximum Performance chosen, 16x AF applied, Clamp chosen, AA is Application-Controlled, and so on).

    Superb drivers.

tested, no performance difference from the official beta 257.15.

the 256.xx drivers though gave me a boost of 8fps in JC2 over the 197.xx drivers especially with Cuda on, but as always you should try drivers for yourself because rigs behave very differently even with identical configurations. ;)

Not 100% sure, but I think I got the stutter in counter strike but when I changed from Adaptive performance to MAX in the nvidia control panel, it went away.

MSI Afternurner is not setting 3D mode with these, that's why stuff is stuttering... I wonder when Unwinder will fix it.

ps; Nvm, second restart fixed it up. :)

PS2; Not fixed, its still acting up.... :3eyes:

Never. Because neither I nor Afterburner is controlling the process switching between different performance levels (2D/3D). You're completely misunderstanding basics.

But i cant get it overclocked at all in all of my 3D games and the only thing i changed was the driver... The memory, the fan and the voltage all go higher but now the Core doesnt want to go higher than 400 mhz. Even in Heaven 2.0 benchmark full screen, the whole thing stutters with half the FPS due to this...

And once again, Afterburner DOES NOT control dynamic clock management. Driver DOES. Probably you shouldn't use overclocking tools at all if term "throttling" tells you nothing.

yes but don't take other people results as final, 100 people might tell you no performance increase but you might end up being the lucky one with 10fps increase, happens all the time, trust me. ;)
