2500k temp question

    I recently reaplyed thermal paste after witch I got this in realtemp

    isw this normal? should I adjust the offset or is it showing correctly

    what CPU cooler and what thermal compound are you using?

    Temps are terrible for idle.
    Make sure the fan is operating properly.

    Download the latest Coretemp, theres no reason to run a Release Candidate.
    This will automatically set TjMax correctly so the temps will be reported correctly.

    If the problem persists:
    Refit the cooler properly.
    Check you havent over applied the thermal paste.

    I'll bet it's just a mis-reading. Try Realtemp.

    try real temp as said above, and load up the cpu temps at 100% using p95 blend avx instructions, try and keep it under 120c.
    j/k watch temps and stop the test before it reaches 80c
    if thats stock cpu speed thats some awful idle temps if true. stock hsf?
