I say this as someone who HATES the Patriots and probably won't watch football next year because the last 3 seasons have just gotten worse and worse. BUT, don't be mad at the Patriots. Be mad at the other 31 teams that obviously don't know how to maintain a consistent team. I'll point my finger at 31 teams getting it wrong before I get upset at the one team that gets it right. It's simple, the Patriots won't win anything if a decent team shows up. Decent coaches. A solid game plan.
Well the better team was shafted this last game. look at the box score. Jags had no turnovers, won the ToP, had more yards more 1st downs, 3rd down conversion was better as well. Biggest stat that stands out jags 6 for 98 yards vs. 1 for 10 in penalties. The refs swung this game in favor of the Pats. Just like they did against the Steelers in week 15.
Watched the whole game. Jags beat themselves with too many 3 and out's after being content with a small lead in the second half. The ref's didn't do them any favors by any means. But when you're playing the team that won a Super Bowl in the fashion they did, down 28-3 in the last minutes of the 3rd quarter...you better play 60 minutes. Jags offense was the jags defense worst nightmare.
BTW. The hit on Gronk was not an illegal hit and it would have been 4th down. Church led with his shoulder and never dropped his head, Gronk lowered his head into the hit like he always does to try and draw the flag (has done this successfully all season). Then the very next play should have been OPI on Cooks for grabbing AJ Bouye. Instead the call DPI on Bouye when the ball was thrown to a spot 15 yards away from them. The entire TD drive at the end of the 2nd quarter was a discrace to the NFL and an obvious gift to the PATS.
Guess I'm the only Eagles fan here. After watching the beating of Viking... I think we should have a chance. Go EAGLES!
Gronk is a meathead. No damage done. That hit could have been illegal and twice as hard as far as I'm concerned. Gronk is just a waste of a human being. Absolutely no cognition.
Even though he had a good game, I just don't trust Nick Foles. Eagles were my pick to go all the way until Wentz got hurt, then I wrote them off. Too soon apparently. I still don't see them beating the Patriots. I don't think it will even be close. Unless the Eagles have Chip Kelly secretly manning their offensive gameplan since he was the only one to get anything productive out of Foles.
Other teams haven't figured out how to cheat and get away with it, seriously! Everyone see's the refs making calls in NE favor(clearly there was a momentum changing call in that game)had the refs not done so NE would have lost. I will agree with you on the point that Gronk is a big baby huey. He's goofy as hell, but can also be a game changer when he is in the zone. I think the refs saw him get hurt and though hum how can we even this game out? FLAG!!! I must say I love LOVE LOVE watching them lose the super bowl to the NY giants. My point in my last post was, most people get sick of seeing the same team over and over and over. It makes church very appealing!!!
SUPER BOWL LII SUNDAY!!! or as I like to call it: February 4th OK, yeah, maybe a little sour grapes over here. Gotta go for the Eagles. P.S. Not only do the Eagles have to beat the 53 man patriot roster, but also the 7 man referee roster!!!
