Definitely was a driver problem NOTHING CRASHES WITH DRIVER 197.03. 197.41 whql is terrible. Drivers off the disc solved my problems.

On third look, games started crashing again with 197.03 too. I don't know what to do besides a clean reformat.

Clean format won't do anything. Have you tried all the drivers that are supported by your card?

Indeed I have. I have determined that any GTX 480 drivers do not like a highly overclocked system whereas Just Cause 2 ran like **** but booted up just fine and ran with previous older drivers on a gts 250. :wanker:

Is your system or GPU oc or something?
not sure why you are getting crashes with every driver that supports a new card, thats weird.

It runs well but I get random driver not responding issues while playing, then the screen just blanks out to white. Would be fine if I just had to restart the game, but my GTX260 gets stuck at Low Power 3D settings until I reboot. I had to go back to 197.25 and those are running just fine for me.

Performance was a little bit smoother on these over 197.25, but it wasn't worth the problem of having to reboot every hour or two.

I was having a similar problem with my system, and looking at your specs you might want to try a bigger power supply. My old PC P&C 750W wasn't cutting it anymore, the cards starved for power and forced a hard reset. With my new 1000w PSU the problem has disappeared.

How do you install these drivers on sli'd gtx 280's, keeps giving me "The nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will not exit.

    win 7 ultimate 64 bit, sli'd gtx 280's. win 7 64 bit installer...

Do these only really work with gtx 470-480?

    Halp.

Your running SLI though, I'm just running a single GTX260. I haven't had a hard lock or BSOD either. Just the driver stops responding and resets itself.

This wasn't an issue until I upgraded to 197.41. I reverted to the 197.25 drivers and this completely solved this problem in BFBC2 for me.

Seems like a driver issue and not a power supply problem.

Glad the driver fixed your problem, but just as a side note I wasn't getting BSODs or hard locks either, but if i would fire up a game it would run for anywhere between a 30 seconds to 5 minutes before white/black screening, then it was unrecoverable. Your problem sounded similar, and depending on the age of your PSU and number of other power using devices in your system a 620w may have been insufficient.
