I remember in win7 it was no problem - you could hide the Nav Pane individually (desktop folder by folder)
It seem in 1903 once Nav Pane is checked... it affects all folders/explorer on the desktop?!

I have 5 folders on the desktop where I dont need the nav pane but I always want it in File Explorer - how to?

what's the trick here or is that another retro feature?

it is not possible to do this with just one folder. The Navigational pane settings will affect all folders in Windows Explorer.

Hey, mbk, I know what I valued in Win7 - individually hiding the nav pane in folders was no issue back then!
No need to elaborate... maybe this old n advanced feature comes to 10?

Yes, the Norton Commander was good back then

I almost do not use Explorer or any other file manager at home - all I need is to start either browser or game (sometimes VisualStudio).
And at work I sure use Far all the time (I just can`t avoid it).
