What the hell....!!!! Again fan speed broken in new set of driver.

Edit: My bad :wanker:. Fan speed back to normal, but after more time than previous set of drivers like 186.08 and 186.18.

This isnt the same driver, 186.81 is notebook drivers and these (186.82) are normal drivers. And good drivers at that!

    !!!!!!!!!!

OMG! Best set on my GTX 285 in ages and its a microcrap driver...

Well I know its just a driver MS took and "tested" but still my games freakin work w/o drivers stop responding every 10 mins!

I don't know whats up with the 190 series, but man I'm staying faarrrr away from them while im on my GTX 285.

Anyone here missing GPU temp reading with this driver? On realtemp 3 it shows as 6029370C...and in Precision I don't have the option to monitor GPU temp now...

Also should the card be downclocking whenever in Windows? Because for me and my GTX260 if actively working in windows 7 x64 it stays high...only if I'm not using it and the screensaver is on does it go to 300/600...

uninstall the driver, reboot, clean nvidia display driver with Drive Sweeper, reboot, then install the new ones again. and reboot again.

oh yeah, physx software doesn't come with these btw

I swore I would never use Windows Update drivers, then thought what can I loose. I got to say these drivers are pretty solid and good looking.

Will post back after I do more tests, baring any issues I will probably keep these for a bit.

    L4D or TF2 doesn't crash

    Fallout 3 doesn't crash

Not getting any downclocking while playing games and card getting locked to 2D clocks until reboot

Jesus christ, why was I using the 190 series again?

Well did some testing and gaming, here to report not a single issue. The 190.62 drivers would drop me back to desktop unexpectedly in CoD:WaW with no errors saying something about the game encountered an error and had to close, these "186.82"s" work flawlessly in CoD:WaW.

CoD:WaW = ~5 FPS Improvement, no more going into the red
CoD4 = used to go from 111 to 125 FPS, now goes from 111 to 143, the right meter shows 125FPS constant. Highest that's ever been.
CS:S = Lost 4FPS went from 292 to 288 FPS, plays smooth as glass though
Farcry2 = smooth as glass, don't have FPS but feels the same or better
    UT3 = flawless
    Desktop feels snappier

These drivers are keepers for sure!
