Windows 7 32-bit with GTX 285 ... Empire: Total War still messed up with these. Flashing, graphical artifacts, game unplayable.

NVIDIA is going downhill - I agree with the poster above - they are just as bad as ATI in terms of driver crappyness - someone needs to be fired - I mean some of the left over bugs are RIDICULOUSLY easy to find how can any of the g** monkeys working at NVIDIA even fail to see those - the more NVIDIA hatches a driver out of its arse the worse they get - WHQL FFS on top of it, 185 is a bloody disgrace to us loyal customers and a blatant attempt at cheating and lying to customers - If you know what's best for you, stick to 182.50, the 185 are utter ****e - still way too many unsorted bugs, slowdown, and confirmed filtering problem despite turning everything high quality as also reported by another member here. Either NVIDIA has serious hardware flaws that it is HIDING by scrambling with drivers and cheap concealing methods or its developers are incomeptant fools. Do those monkeys even bother checking user feedback at all ???

All these 185's have been crap for me!

1)Riddick Dark Athena Stutters sometimes from startup
2)Does not scale correctly for certain resolutions
3)When previewing a document before printing, Aero desktop crashes to basic with error message "Display driver quit working blah blah blah......"

Going back to 182.50 fixed all above issues.

These drivers work great on both my computers. Control panel works for both pcs and I not geting any error at all. I never had one bit of problem with 185 drivers. All the 185 driver sets I tried on my main and my other comp with a 8800GTS 320mb work which also works with the 8500GT in my dad computer.

Just because you had problems with 185 driver sets or have friend that did rimmer64 , that do not mean every one does because of the diffent configs. Make drivers work for others and not for others.

wow, GTA4 works great on these set. the transition's got really smooth for some reason when u look around.
it seems like min frame rate's got higher.. I dunno. hell, it feels smoother that's for sure.

no crash, no menu lag whatsoever. well I haven't had a single issue with any driver thus far anyway.

other than SLI/muliti gpu physx thing, these are pretty good driver set I guess.
Now gotta go to work.............. hell.... spent the whole damn night playing GTA4.........

Why not Flash your Geforce Card?

Use NiBiTor and set your fan on the speed that you want, i have set my 2x Geforce 8800GT on 60%, and when they hit 70c they go to 100%, work very
    good.

Also you can set your OC as you want, and when you flash you GFX card you
never ever have to in stall that Sh*t Riva Tunner.

Just for some to know on the PhsyX drivers. If you read the release notes, it states the there is a error in the driver version. It may show 9.09.203 but it is actually 9.09.408.

Well I tested 182.52 and they gave me 1-5 min fps more then 182.50 I tested with all the games I got plus benchmarks. I did the same thing comparing 182.52 and 185.85 and they were pretty much identical. I used 3D mark 06, Vantage, FEAR 2, Crysis Warhead, GTA 4, Velvet Assassin, Mass Effect, The Last Remnant, Call of Duty 4, Burnout Paradise and Vegas 2. So far they seem stable for my BFG 9600GT OC and Vista Home Premium 64.

LOL! This topic is the same as before.

8/9 series users complaining, GTX 200 users = super happy.

185.81 beta is working perfectly for me, I doubt this one is any different so I'll take my time and install it later.

Has anyone tried the driver emulation feature in RivaTuner? It worked back in the day for other unsupported drivers, at least the overclock features.

good news but how is it that someone with only 2 posts posted this news???

It's always the same case that someone that is pretty much new to the site posts a release of a driver.. not that posting it is bad but I really need to be explained what is going on here or I'm going crazy! :3eyes:

ohh I'll download and test in a few mins :D

Well RivaTuner isn't working for me - it says there are no supported drivers for this display adaptor. Odd that it was working for the 185.81 betas but not the 185.85 WHQL drivers. Normally RivaTuner gives you a warning about using an unsupported driver which you check a box to ignore but that didn't happen with these.

I'm also noticing a lot more hard disc activity since installing these but it might be caused by something else other that the new drivers.
