No. That AFAIK was only in the 185.20
Left 4 Dead still freezes on my 8600M GT.
That's the game man not the driver. Shadows look the same in every set I've used.
That list of games that Nvidia shows, is just games that performance increases were made in, it doesn't mean the drivers won't work with the games you play.
driver, works great for me tested it on city of villians game looks and runs alot better fallout 3 good wow good combat arms good warhead good alot beter than the beta oh mirrorsedge runs good to some iq differances in most of the games. keepers
Just tried the drivers with my new 295, played Crysis, Warhead, FarCry2. Everything works very well. Drivers seem to be pretty good!
Is Fallout 3 crashing more often with these when compared to the previous ones (any) for you guys? I'm sure that Fallout 3 didn't crashed nor froze that often before, but now it's ridiculous, it takes roughly ten minutes, usually outdoors, and bam, either nv4_disp.dll crashes or the screen freezes and I can't even Ctrl+Alt+Del my way out.
i dont think thats a driver issue. i've played l4d on gtx260 and 8800gtx with all drivers since 178.24 up until these ones. no stuttering, freezing or anyhthing, both in xp32 and vista64...
freezing:COD5,Mirrors Edge,Fallout 3., nv4_disp.dll crashes
Guys, I may be wrong, but nv4_disp.dll errors (and BSOD associated) are XP typical... You may have to install the nv4loop fix to get rid of it ON XP ONLY!!
(Vista's typical error is the nvddmkm recovery thing...)
I think it only degrade the IQ for some video cards (my system also is Vista ultimate 64) , because i see some other post that said it did lower his IQ too (if i look at the shadows on the character at night outdoors i can see the deference in the quality between both driver).
And ya the rest of my games play just fine i just mentioned that with the game profile not showing just to let people know what i'm experiencing with this driver.
Bench for GTA4 with the new patch, i get a solid 35 - 37 FPS. Thats a +3FPS gain for me !!

from version 169.x ??? :3eyes:
Hey it's very strangs i had also problems with the downclocking
every time full of steam
but i notice something if i have Frostwire(p2p programm)running i have full of steam
if i closing the program all runs normally
can anyone explain to me why?
maybe other p2p program bittorrent do the same?
Nope, utorrent doesn't. Although Xfire does it when just starting (probably its video hook/ or skin engine). Are you using some customs skins with Frostwire?
How can you tell if your card is down clocking, GPU-Z?
I got his thing...since i bought 260 GTX 216, no physx wont install (when it is inside the geforce driver). Every single time, install just hangs? I have to stopped it manually. Driver installs fine, but no physx?
It not a problem, but still...anyone else? Same symphtoms...?
Ps. Im not a noob, i do use driver cleaner and know what i am doing.
install physx stand-alone its the same than driver :/
Riva-Tuner or another app that shows real-time 3D clock speeds.
Thanks for responding Pillmonster, found it in rivatuner. Seems my card is running at 625 mhz all the time whether i am in XP and the 178.24 driver or in Windows 7 and using 181.22. Wonder if that is a bad thing.
That's normal for an 8800GT.
