Yes, excellent drivers for 7 series cards as well as the 8 series they were intended for. When Stalker first appeared, I had miserable FPS with Full Dynamic Lighting and maxed settings. Now its remarkably smooth esp with the Floating Point shader mod, and IQ is the best I'd seen to date. Oblivion is another high point in FPS/IQ. All in all great drivers.

Well bodean i am not sure if this will work for you but this is how i mod the file for my card every time a new driver comes out. extract the driver file and open up nv_disp.ini in notepad.

    add this under [NVIDIA.Mfg.NTx86.6.0]

    %NVIDIA_G72.DEV_01D8.1% = nv_NV3x, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_01D8

that should be right under all the SourceDisksFiles

    add this under Localizable Strings

    NVIDIA_G72.DEV_01D8.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400"

that should be at the very bottom of the file
once you are done doing all that you have to manually install the driver under device manger for some reason i have never been able to use the setup file after i do this. but hey it works when i add my card info and do it that way. hope that helps you out.

    First post :p

I give you a working modded inf for Vista64: http://home.scarlet.be/ditsie/nv_disp.inf

On a sidenote: for me these drivers also fixed the 4GB vista64 7950X2 bug.
This alone makes them a lot more interesting then the 158.24 drivers for me.

    Thank you Nvidia !

if your wanting to run it in vista, instal 3dmark, go to the openal installer that comes with 3dmark and right click on the openal installer, and click "run as administrator" when its done click 3dmark.exe and itll go. otherwise its just openal32 errors and especially with an x-fi in vista, openal functionality is a must.

Or you can download OpenAL separately and install it.

I agree with you, this 160.03 driver is still the best for me too :coffee2: .
No craches errors or blue screens .
    Good performance and IQ......

Just installed them, nothing bad or special noticed so far. Performance wise they're the same as 158.43's, at least for my system.

When did STALKER performance go through the roof? I'm running it unpatched so whatever performance increases i'm seeing are strictly from new drivers.

Tried all that, still no joy. downloaded it from openal.org and the creative site, tried running as admin 5-10 times, still errors the same.

Agree. Hard to really tell but Image Quality appears slightly even more impressive and just as smooth. Lovely drivers for my 8800gtx on Vista 32bit.
