Hey guys...I manually went in and installed the driver though device manager and it took it alright. With previous drivers I would ALWAYS get blue screens with error 124 / 0x0000124 while playing video (usually Divx) files. These seem to have helped out very much now. I am playing back 3 files in VLC now and they have gone on much longer than they would have with older drivers.

Anyone else seeing similar results? Or maybe I'm the only one who had this problem before. :)

Well, this driver fixed a few things and improved performance. Halo 2 for me got the biggest boost, followed but Rainbow six.

Very tempted to try these, just 160.03 are the first drivers for me which don't crash/error every few hours :)

There is a thread about this fps problem in either the FEAR forum or the Condemned forum. I don't recall which, and I'm not at home right now. IIRC it's a problem with something USB. I didn't have the problem with FEAR, but I experienced the same in Condemned (FEAR engine). I deactivated some USB devices (remote control and other stuff) and the problem would be gone. A bad and annoying workaround, but it worked.

Blue, how much was the increase in Rainbow Six? :)

Yep there is a thread on this very thing at the FEAR forums , something to do with countless unused USB devices.

I haven't found a comparison yet, so I have to ask:

    158.45
    or
    158.24

    Which is the better driver?

    I'm running Vista 32 w/ dual 8800 GTS cards.

158.45 is the way to go, 158.24 does not support SLI in DX10 games.

So skip these if we have 7950GT card and running Vista 64? Stick with 158.24?

these drivers so far rock. I am on a Geforce Go 7800 GTX and these have helped out alot. i was using the 158.42s before these. here are some of the benchs i have got so far.

Fear max settings no soft shadows 4xAA 8xAF
    res 1280x960
    158.42 158.45
    min 19 23
    avg 39 40
    max 90 91

CSS VST max settings 4xAA 8xAF
    res 1680x1050
    158.42 158.45
    26.93 73.71

I didn't get a big jump with fear but i got a few more fps on my min which i am happy with. I did get a really big jump with CSS which makes it so i can play with AA and AF on now with no problems. These also made it so i can turn on AA and AF with C&C3 before i had everything at the max settings no AA or AF now i am using 2xAA and 4xAF.
