The 11th Gen Intel Core S-series desktop processors (code-named "Rocket Lake-S" launched worldwide, led by the flagship Intel Core i9-11900K.... 11th Gen Intel Core Unleashes Unmatched Overclocking, Game Performance
In games only 2% faster than last gen or sometimes even slower when a game uses more cores.. And overclocking.. yeah I loled so hard
Steve from GN said this reminds him of Phenom vs Bulldozer era when amd actually had some performance regresion with new cpus. lol so true
11600K alot of time matches 10700K even with less cores, so that's pretty nice. Min.fps with 11700K is sometimes higher that 5900X in games. Except for higher wattage pretty good CPU's. Especially F series, would like to see more reviews of 11400F/11600F/11700F. Pretty good results for 14nm process. PCIE4.0 m.2 drive performance is also noticeably faster.
If Intel just simply didn't release the 11900K, they wouldn't look so bad. It's better to have no flagship than one that doesn't readily beat its predecessor. The 11700K would've been fine as the top-end model, as it at least had a lot of new features.
Can anyone explain why this is flagship CPU and called i9 . Not sure why people are not questioning this. Intel Core i9-11900K 8-Core 16 Thread
Remember the time when all they had is i7 and amd could not compete now they have i9 and they cant compete. I agree they would not look bad and this probably looks worse as it right now.
https://www.computerbase.de/2021-03...hnitt_ipczugewinne_in_anwendungen_und_spielen 17% improvement in st,17% improvement in mt,6% in fps, 17% improvement in frametimes at the cost of roughly twice the price (not kidding, that's what it costs here) and extra power draw, but performance increase is clear.you gotta do some sort of HUB level of benchmarking to find ipc regression in RKL. on 6c vs 6c it looks better in gaming than 8c vs 8c cause of how 6 cores are being pushed now. In the end every 11th gen i9 sku is an awful deal,i7s are bad from many standpoints either. 11600kf is very decent for the money - at least on charts. But better be aware that it guzzles as much power as stock 10900k and in the end it's a six core, not only you're going to be pushing it hard in new games, but more and more will appear where it'll start hitting near 90% utilization with all that follows - 1% fps dips, stutter, extra heat and power. to make things worse they limited the gear1 mode on i5s.
Yeah, for sure: Sad thing is in average, they can't even beat their predecessors. Not to speak of the double power consumption compared to Zen 3. This whole series is a piece of utter s.it.

There are much better options from intel , for a moment you could buy (it went up now).10900f for 340 EUR, in my opinion it was best option from intel . 10 core in price of 6. for 1440p+ gaming it would beat 5600X in long run.
dunno 10900f carries a 350pln premium over 10700f,for 2 extra cores when you already have 8. I considered it,but decided not to get the i9.1500pln is too much I'm willing to spend on a gaming cpu anyway. I'm saving that 350pln and gonna get another 16g b-die kit when they get back to normal prices.the one I got for 4500pln last summer is now +550
didn't know that not that I need it tbh it was just a better idea than paying premium for 10900 maybe a nvme os drive then.I badly need it,have a 120gb sata atm, running out of space all the time.a 500g nvme would be huge.970 evo plus goes for 380,not a bad idea....the regular 970 evo for 310 https://www.delkom.pl/p/46699-ssd-s...ekierowania&utm_campaign=przekierowania_ceneo
