Amd did a splendid job with ryzen 5000 series it seems intel will need more time to catch up. Like i said 10700k re-released.
Terrible chip ,can not wait for the regular people to chime in to trade in there 10/20 for 8/16 and claim it is way faster. I can even name the people. The 104℃ is pretty hot on top of the line air cooler.
Shame everything get's so hot these days. Maybe i'll just go for a 6 core CPU. I'm fooling myself anyways wanting anything better since i don't play modern games, it's all between the ears.
Mediocre perf vs competition - heat - power - (expected) price = its dead in the water. Would have to be heavily discounted as buyers also have to factor in top notch cooling costs. Intel need to price it the same way AMD priced Bulldozer for it to take off.
Doesn't Intel 14nm resemble something that would be at most 10nm TSMC? Intel's 10nm is supposed to at least match TSMC 7nm. Of course Intel had huge problems with its 10nm, so matching TSMC's 7nm might be partially only theoretical.
Hilbert review will be interesting but he'll not go below 1080p so basically they will all perform the same. I still think 5800x will pull ahead btw.
Yep, different foundries have different criteria for their processes and Intels 14nm has been fine tuned over time (14nm+++). But not enough to lessen the crappy heat/power draw for its performance vs Ryzen 5.
yeah take a look at andantech's 1440p low, that'll tell you more. it does look unimpressive.though it's hard to say what the hell they tested. i'd prefer 10900f over this frankly.prolly cheaper too. btw I like the idea of testing 1440p at lqs it's a very popular resolution and while such a test is not the best among cpu-oriented scenarios,it's very practical for a lot of buyers.it's more cpu-oriented than 1080p for sure .Does anyone really buy high end cards to run triple A's at 1080p anymore ?
Omg it does look much worse than i expected. Total trash cpu. Intel will sell this half of the price of 5800X
Intel should just price at 300$ to compete with 5600x. An 8core for the price of 6core but then again there will be no room for 11600k so i think it will be more expensive reaching almost 5800x making no sense.
yeah 5600x six core is 350 eur but it's intel who need a price drop true to a degree tho,if this is final performance and the price is around 350-400 eur, then intel will happily take that from brain dead people, just like amd took it from 5600x owners.
