I've downgraded from 7700k (windows 10 x64 installed) to 4790k Specs: asus z87 pro corsair vengeance 8GB 1866mhz Seagate 3x 3tb 7200rpm Cryorig H5 ultimate cooler Corsair VS550 new gpu Zotac 1050ti OC. I'm having stuttering issues in almost every game. Like in cs:go when I am firing fps drop from 254 to 120. In Gta V while driving fast it was stuttering mostly after 10mints fps drops from 60-70 to 30-35. Temps were fine cpu temps don't go above 61c and gpu 59c. I've already run ddu and did clean install nvidia graphic drivers. No apps running in background. Do I need to clean install windows 10 also as I have change my whole pc setup ? What could be done to overcome this stuttering issue. Any help would be highly appreciated.
Firstly your RAM is not much for Win 10 . For Win 10 you need 16GB RAM , while Windows 7 with 8GB of ram would be sufficient. Lets go to nvidia site and grab latest drivers and do a clean install of the drivers, gl
Both games you listed are CPU hogs. This is what it is, you got less CPU power. Overclocking your CPU should provide better results. Everything else is fine. In CS:GO make sure to lower shadow quality, it saved me lots of fps. Also set CS:GO to use fast-sync, it will provide smoother image. Just to make sure, monitor your GPU usage while in game, unless it going over 90% it's CPU cap. RAM is obviously enough, unless you swapping between heavy applications while gaming.
Which video card were you running before you had the 1050Ti? Yeah, I don't think the memory has anything to do with the issues he's having. Which version of Windows are you running, i.e:1703, 1709?
The 1050 is not a performance card, its a regular card for regular uses like getting work done, not gaming. gl
Try getting the latest nvidia drivers for your card. Then upon install say custom install and put check in clean install. Then install drivers,,,,, and see how it goes. gl
