Some time, when I quit or tab a game like bf2 or wow, one gpu (gpu2) of mine 5970 freez at 99% working... Do you know something about this issue?

edit: I have just one 5970 @850/1200 with accelero extreme cooler... I dont know why but I cant change my details...

Yes i have the same problem. The driver stop responding and causes the 1st GPU to stay at 99%. 10.12 driver

Yeah got the same thing as well when AI is not disabled. Got some weird stuttering as well in games that normally run smooth as silk.
I don't think they will ever get these drivers right for 5970 cards.

or the 4870x2, or the 3870x2 unfortunately. i had a similar problem with my 5850...froze a few times, blue screened when my monitor went to sleep. i rolled back to 10.10e and everything is good again. i read where some users thought it was the new cp, but i didnt bother testing since its the same ole cccp with a face-lift.

Hi. I have the same incident. I have ccc2 10.12.

I think its the driver issue, because I never had a gpu not responding before. While I was using internet explorer.

I never had any problems with the 10.11 driver. So give 10.11 a try (just my oppinion).

Do you guys use MSI afterburner? if so reset it and run games with stock clocks to see if the problem happens again.

same gpu clock issue here, no overclocking , no msi afterburner; after playing wow and switchting a few times around to desktop gpu 1 usage keeps 99% in CCC :$ wtfs xfx 5970 be; does they want to destroy their own cards?
except this it wouldnt be as hard to detect gpu usage changes because they have already the usage o meter implemented, and doing not just 2d-3d clocking but relational usage-on demand clocking! like they do with their new cpus.
but i believe this is maybe hardware-side limited because everytime the clocks changing the screen may flicker, dont know why.

just looked again in ccc: again the failure present; lol

    I am seeing this too.

I am seeing this too with my Asus 5970 was using the 10.12a. I filed a report with the Catalyst feedback form, for what it's worth. I've since downgraded to 10.10e as the performance in the benchmarks was much better with them anyway.

I'm getting weird lag issue with latest drivers as well. Feels like a car running out of gas, yet my fps are fine. I find 10.5 with latest CAP's give me the best performance.

I ended up migrating back to the 10.12's. WOW running DX 11 had issues with flickering textures under 10.10e. :(
