Ok I got my options cut down to two which both have there advantages and disadvantages. Choices are 1 6800 GT for $450 or get 2 6600 GTs in an sli set up for around $375. Suggestions on brands for the 6600 GT would be greatly appreciated as I have not payed much attention to them untill recently.

I'd go with the 1 6800GT, just for the fact that SLI doesn't work in all games (only around 11 games, 3 benches and a demo) So any game that you're playing that isn't supported by SLI you'll be stuck with 6600GT performance. (Until Nvidia increases support or someone makes a homemade sli profile for the game you want) Who knows how long it'll take for Nvidia to make profiles for upcomming games like F.E.A.R, STALKER, ElderScrools IV - Oblivian...... you get my point. At least until then, you'll always be playing at 6800GT performance whatever game you decide to play.

Also, from what you're quoting on prices, I think the 6800GT is a bit pricy. I've seen many top quality brands for under $400. In fact, for $450 you may be able to find an Ultra if you look hard enough. Nice thing about the 6800GT, is that you can always add another one in a years time or so when you have some extra cash. In a year or two, you're going to need it.

Edit: I'm sorry, I was looking at AGP prices for the 6800GT. Yeah, $450 all along. :(

The 6800 GT is pricey and hard to find in PCI-e. But's its the better card to go for rather than 2 6600GTs. The 6600 GTs don't measure up with AA/AF.

I know EVGA has a 6800GT PCI-e, but they are asking $499 USD.

I know Newegg has a XFX nVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT PCI-e for $445, but I'm not to sure about the company...

I've heard of them, but never really had anything from them.

    6800 GT is better than 2 X 6600 GT
