If venice core costs any more, it should settle down in a week or two. There is also the option of a 3200+ venice instead of 3500+ winchester... the venice core will probably still overclock better.

Too late i've ordered this, wanted to stick with epox as this board has been absolutely brilliant, it took my processor upto 2ghz with watercooling before the agp/pci slots gave up

well, if you go on here
    http://www.arctic-cooling.com/cpu2.php?idx=10&disc=
theres a couple of graphs that show you how much better it is over standard....
I bought it cause it was on offer and the £26 i saved on the processor not being in retail box i bought that instead so its well worth buying the oem one and getting a better fan for the £26 they overcharge you!

how mines performs, well lets see, when it DOES perform i get about 50-60 fps on half life 2(1280x1024, other things full, no AA, no AF), currentyl i can barely play any game due to my mobo i think, so im gonna raise the agp voltage to 1.6v and if that doesnt work then im just gonna get the same mobo that you have

Does anyone know if this would fit on my mobo (Abit Fatal1ty), I ask only due to the ddr sockets being really close to the cpu socket!!

    Cheers

    Indeed, the fan / hs!

If you have the pleasure of seeing a diagram of a Fatal1ty board, you would see what I mean, but I have just seen a mobo with a big-ass Vapochill h/s and fan, so as long as the fan does not point at the mem, I should be ok!!

Let me know actual performance though, as lab tests mean sh*t-all!!

    Cheers
