I've just seen TPU disassembly of r9-290x and it has "h5g02h24afr" gddr5 memory chips.
That means it should not be problem for memories to run on 6GHz+ effectively which is nice in comparison for basic specification of 5GHz.

And unless AMD's new memory controller block has some drawback, card may be capable to get memory bandwidth 380+ GB/s.
