This is correct. Not a bypass either, so it can't/won't be fixed this time.
These drivers seem good so far. 144hz monitor is fully downclocking to 100mhz :)
Single monitor doesn't downclock for me. 144hz/1440p
So that you don't have to keep enabling it for each and every game? That way when a game supports it will kick in, and otherwise just use normal MSAA.

They fixed it for everything, I use 1440p myself and it was definetly fixed for awhile, but recent drivers forcing me to use the 120hz desktop...
A few months ago nvidia put out a fix for the 144hz monitor high idle clocks. But now it seems to be back? I am idling @ 900mhz on desktop....
