My 3600X also fell short 50 MHz of the max boost until I went back to the "older" SMU firmware. Now I see up to +25 MHz on top of the advertised...
Wow you really got me here. Guess that's what I should have expected.
I don't know, I just think it's a bit too soon for conclusions. I'd be interested in technical discussions on the reasons for the observed issues...
I don't see the need for the very same people posting the very same opinion on each and every thread about the topic tbh. But to each his own I guess.
I think so too. In the end efficiency is depending on the workload and only comparable if that Basis is the same so the question is how good the...
I took a quick look at Boss' latest 580 review throughout which the tested 580 is averages ~77 fps (100%) vs. ~70 (90%). So at least in this case...

Great article as usual. I'd be interested in your take on what kind of voltage you'd use on a daily basis.
Nice view ;) Have fun! And if you find the time can you post what revision your Crosshair is? It is printed between the PCIe slots below the...
Always used ASRock before so it's probably going to be one of theirs or I'll try Gigabyte. Kinda depends on the availability.
So my board finally decided to brick in the end like it did for many others. Tbh I would stay away from it at least for now.
It was the 5704 beta, but the problem was not the bios itself but using the EZUpdate software. Updating via bios or flashback worked fine....
I'm not sure if the Arctic Freezer will be provided with AM4 kits. But you can still get an AM3 backplates rather cheap.
