Red screen = unstable cpu, memory or possibly vccio. Increase voltages a notch or two all round. Not gpu related.
Is there anyway to view the maximum gpu temp for example? I used to be able to see this at the top in the monitoring graph section but i noticed...

Nothing to do with crossfire scaling, it's called a cpu bottleneck due to horrible game optimization. Overclock your cpu as much as you can.
Is this just the same as the APU driver but WHQL version?

Unwinder, does force constant voltage have any effect on AMD R9 290 cards? I know it used to work on Tahiti cards.
Same D3D and Mantle build at 14.6. Can't see any worthwhile reason to upgrade??

Yes. Support was made possible via 14.6 drivers and Thief was patched a day later. Crossfire works and it provides a big fps boost for crossfire.

The game is still a bit broken though in my opinion. The online portion of the game can still suffer from cpu spiking issues...
