1. Faulty nVidia driver
2. Overclocked card
Probably a combination of both, but more of the first. :)
If you get black screens you probably overclocked the card too much. There seems to be a problem with laster 169.xx and 174.xx drivers and...

Wow, so it is nVidia's fault after all. Well, thank god they have this sorted out now so they can fix the damn drivers.
Can you link the source?

This is a Vista (and now SP1) ForceWare driver incomparability problem.
I'm waiting for the first official post SP1 ForceWare drivers to test...
Yes. I'm guessing Vista SP1 is the problem here and beta drivers are partly to blame for the black screens.
I installed the 174.31 modified for Vista32 (have SP1 installed) and after playing TF2 for 30 minutes, I got the "Driver has stopped..." error...
Well, I'm sure you have a TV. :)
Ok, here is the solution to the black screen on startup problem.
The drivers seem to output to the second (or TV out) by default if you got...
I'm afraid you're right. :(
Man, this is really pissing me off right now.
Yeah, I've got the same problem with my Club3D 8800GT 512.
Black screen (no signal - blicking light on the monitor) after I enter Vista....
I get a black screen after Vista boots with 8800 GT with these one.
Does RT2.06 work with 8800GT, Vista32 and 169.09?
Edit: Never mind, it works. :)
Heh, who wants to use nTune anyway.
Hmm, that's strange.
I've restarted the computer and now I can no longer overclock (just 2 sliders, cannot enable them). Rebuilding the RT DB...
My suggestion would be to share the source. Make RT open source.
The overlocking on 169.01 and RT 2.05 works on Vista32.
If you select Standard 2D and overclock there, the changes will be global.
I guess I have to install them manually or just try the .exe from the LeadTek FTP.
I have a LeadTek WinFast 6600 GT but I'm getting a CRC error when trying to install the drivers.
