after updating to these drivers NFS Carbon stopped to work.... seems driver issues...

huh csgo started to crash after i installed these drivers also diablo 3 shutters like nuts FFS also Tomb Raider has fps dips with these hmm ....
first of all uninstall nvidia drivers then use guru3d DriverSweeper remove nvidia drivers in safe mode then RR and install 306.97 WHQL should work...
Uninstall Video Drivers . Then Clean Nvidia Drivers with Driver Sweeper from guru3d (in safemode) then install stable drivers i Recommend to use...
sounds odd reminds me dust problems have you disambeled pc and cleaned out dust of gpu ?? because 80c+ is too much i think ... mine Gainward 560...

does any body notices under heavy load these drivers gives very high temps even despite high end cooling hmm .
post fx is AA with blur effect ... it could be replaced with sweetfx .. or smaa injector !
Answer is simple set POST FX to LOW and problems will be gone ... at least helped me i had similar issues . before i forgot disable Alpha...
funny but i have Gainward 560 TI 2gb and it works on same level as 660ti ... sow i wonder of course,I think maybe it's not worth to you go on 670...

sounds familiar your windows is dead as far i can tell fresh install and install latest WHQL drivers and problem will be gone .
i admit they did brilliant work .
i don't think sow if you make a Quad sli of 690 then i think even 2kw could be barely enough .
odd but these drivers crash my system fully seems they ain't stable with Sleeping Dogs ... same issue rises with crysis 2
