Dude where the Gtx 970 sli was a slow setup for you, than what about Gurus who own slower cards than the 970.. Maybe they can not play games on...

No upcoming pc games will use 8Gb of Vram, because most of them are crap console ports.. let along no games on my pc uses more then 4GB of Vram.
