My BFG 7900GS has the G71 Core therefore I Unlocked the extra pipes via rivatuner making it a 7900GT.
Could I SLI this with another 7900GT?
What you are describing is Artifacting. Most Likely caused by a Heat Issue, Or the card may be going bad.
BFG is using 7900GT cores on there 7900GS's and simply disabling the extra pipes/shaders in the BIOS...so yes its real.
A Small Gain is better than no Gain.
Looks like BFG has been using 7900gt cores in there 7900gs cards and simply disabling the extra pipes and shaders in the Bios.
Here's how to do...
7900GS's are fairly cheap in Canada right now and most OC like mad, mine scores 12k in 05 which put it on par with an X1900XT according to that...
Rivatuner will monitor fan speeds.
You can always flash the BIOS to make it run at 100%
Scores seem ok. I can do 6400 with my 7900GS and X2 at 2.5Ghz...
They don't need a Dedicated Power Supply just for themselves, they draw power from the PSU that powers the rest of your system.
Should be able to come close to 11k with a Little Overclocking.
No it doesn't.
Your memory is fine and running exactly how it is supposed too.
It's clocked at 700mhz but it is able to send data twice per...
First thing I did when I got my 7900 was pull off the cooler and replace the crappy thermal paste with some AS5. It would Idle in the low 40's and...
Considering that DX10 is coming out shortly...No its not futureproof.
Both will yeild Improvements but the Core will give better results.
Once you have your core running over 700mhz then it really starts to get...
Most of these 7900GS cards are clocking like mad. Mine hit 590 core on stock volts and 690 with a volt-mod.
XFX follows the reference PCB so...
Weird that your card has 1.3v default. I would assume that they would still be the same so if you did the .2v mod you would end up with 1.5vgpu.
Default is 1.2 volts
Simply connect the 2 points on the card using a conductive pen or something similar.
Red is 0.05 volts over stock, Yellow is 0.1, and Purple is...
Yah I volt modded the Core to 1.4v and it run's rock solid stable at 685mhz.
Temps are similar to yours with an Artic Silencer 6.
Very nice core clocks for Stock voltage.
Are you sure thats the max for the memory? Mine does 1780 on stock voltage.
