I've noticed that since the 25x.xx series of drivers, after each installation over the old drivers it'll always ask for a reboot. I guess they do...

Fair enough. So there's no definite cause to it? Is there a temp. fix? Doesn't seem to be when reading that thread.
I don't get the popup at the bottom right saying my driver has recovered though?
Just need a lil' bit of help. Every now and then, random intervals, when playing a game, the screen will freeze and the sound will loop...
How do you mean by 'compatibility'?
Yeh haven't been need to reboot for the past 5 or so drivers I've installed. Win7.
Just got a quick Q. I use onboard sound, and have always been wondering, is there any point in updating Realtek drivers? I mean like...
Already has .. 190.38 WHQL.
I bit, didn't notice much change, except a higher minimum FPS for L4D.
Xfastest.com I believe.
Ok just installed these over the Beta's via a clean install. Much better, frames are top notch again, better than the 186.24's which I was using....

Saw about 10-15 FPS gain in L4D :D
MSN/Windows Live Messenger still causes the gpu to jump into 3D clocks..
Ok I understand.
And I didn't mean Riva not working with Win7 ALTOGETHER. I meant just with the new 181.71 drivers. Like why does Precision work...
So pretty much whatevers incompatible with W7 atm (ie. overclocking + driver level fan control), you won't be fixing for W7?
EDIT: Also curious...

Will you be adding 181.71...
So does Rivatuner work with these? Eg, overclocking, driver-level fan speeds etc. Or is it just you?
