Both are connected to ntkrnlmp.exe. Use whql driver and reset your overclocking to stock settings.
I had the same problem on R9 290(probably not related to specific hardware). I found solution for this is to remove the catalog...
New driver available on amd site: 16.2.1 Hotfix.
