3d mark has problems with crossfired 3870s afaik. Use the -nosysteminfo command line to get it running.
The 3870 X2 is a decent card. It's just not nearly as good as the 8800 GTX was when it was launched.
Until ATI finds a way to manage adequate...
These drivers gave me the lovely "display driver stopped responding" error again. So they're a no-go for me.
Plus I've lost a lot of resolutions too.
This whole thread seems like a wannabe e-penis spamfest to me.
I didn't get the error with only my GPU core overclocked while memory was at stock speeds. So I guess memory overheating/overstressing might...
Sorry. That did the trick for me.
Crysis is giving me the error using the latest beta drivers, so I switched back to the latest WHQL release...

I'm getting the error as soon as I slightly overclock the gpu memory.
I'll be doing some more testing with overclocking tonight.

Maybe windows automatic updates installed one of those ****ty updates I mentioned earlier. Try removing the ones listed, see if it helps.
I'd like to share some input to this problem too.
I've been having that error for a while playing World in Conflict online too....
And 1 heavy AA > 6 medium choppers. :P

It is indeed. One of the most important things about the 8800 series is that is has really consistent performance, while the HD 2900 performs...
So I bit the bullet and ditched my HD2900XT for an 8800 Ultra, mostly because of this game. :p
The difference in performance and IQ is amazing...
Try to increase the voltage?
Are you sure your PSU is sufficient? Have you measured it's +12V rails with a multimeter by any chance?

They still release a new set of drivers each month. I don't hold my hopes up high for being able to play WiC with settings coming even remotely...
