I switched to W7 64bit and it works fine, compared to Xp 32bit.
I installed DX9 though, not sure if the W7 RC comes with DX11 and if mpc can...
So it is xp-32.
I will install W7-64 this weekend.
I am also going to try W7 64bit.
So, then it must be OS / driver related...?
On XP 32bit with a 4670 there is no way to get it to work.
Watching a DVD with shaders on is no...
If I am not mistaken only the AMD/ATI cards have problems?
Something else. When I activated the shaders n a x264 movie I sometimes don't get an image but only sound...
I just can´t make it (x264) work on a HD4670 with catalyst 9.4 (XP, 32bit), it is very choppy. Back to CPU decoding with ffdshow.
Is this then a pure ATi (driver) issue and NVidia cards are not affected...?
Catalyst 9.4 is out.
Did anyone try them out?
Has anyone tried the 9.3 drivers already?
I only have this issue while playing mkv. The other formats I´ve tried are smooth.

It means that you reduce the access time of the RAM´s rows and columns (arrays). More info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAS_latency...
I bought some new DDR2 modules but now I seem to runinto a problem.

A bit offtopic.
I don´t think I can agree with what you say.
You actually don´t need a prime stable system to play games on an overclocked...
You get the best of both worlds: more GHz coupled with faster RAM (more bandwidth) gives you a faster system.
I have ordered some new RAM, 1066 MHz. I will try them out when they arrive.
