i finally got around this by getting rid of everything ATI through the control panel, then rebooted into SAFE mode with NO networking support......

i originally bought my X800XT for a combo of gaming and media performance, but problems with some of the buggy ATI drivers led me to say scroot...
what did you set in your bios for agp aperture size? it should be at least half of your available ram... do you run with vsync off in 3d and...
