Threadripper 16 core 1950x is 590$ here in Norway now. :)
Intel optane 900p works great with my 1950x threadripper :)
This optane "cache" is not working as cache on Amd, but it does work as storage :)
AMD put the extra powerdraw outside the cpu. Chipset now need a fan :p
Maybe total powerdraw will be the same with Cpu and MB combined :D
Im surprised anyones actually cares...
People "care" just to get "likes" on forums :p
Meeh... only 52MB/s 4k random read.
Sticking with my 960pro, adata sx8200pro and Intel optane 900p.
You must read it in you're weird fantasy ;)
I just love high performance, no matter what the brand is. Someone just can't understand the truth......
Must be a sad life commenting stupid posts here on guru3d.com every day. Get a job maybe?
My 3x Optane 900p In raid-0:
Someone was afraid to post 4k random read @ QD1
All I want to know is 4k random read@ QD=1
If I want higher seq read/write, there is raid-0 ;)
Good times! Looking forward to benchmark zen 2 and nvidia
Guru advice: If you don't like it, don't buy it ;)
Who looks in the box anyway. I looking on my monitor ;)
And why have a window in the "box" :p
The ssd barly go over pci-e x4 3.0 speeds on seq read/write :p
Pci-e 4.0 maybe offer even lower latency, like 3.0 did over 2.0.
July is bad for overclocking in EU, so they are delaying it to late september ;)
When it's in stock in stores, is what I want to know ;)
I hope it's not postponed too much, because I want to upgrade my trusty 1950x :) Still hoping for fall 2019 :p :D
Hgst Deskstar is consumer
Hgst Ultrastar is enteprise
Think about at Threadripper with 35ns memory latency, that would be epyc :D
The only drawback for AMD now is the high latency in games, unless...
What we want right now, is performance of 2700x + 15% ipc with frequence of 5Ghz +, and support for 4400+ mhz memory
I believe it when I'm benchmarking it myself ;)
Going to upgrade my TR 1950x anyway to TR gen 3 .
