    Hi All.

I registered just to thank ALL the great folks of rivatuner. Been a long time reader of this forum and its resources.

    Thank You.

My AsusV9999GE is running 16x1,6vp beautifully. Success! Oc'ed to 420/1100 too. Am so happy. Benchmarks of doom3 and both 3dmarks also show improvements to a 6800ultra level.

thanks again and keep up the wonderfull development.

My BFG 6800 OC is also working at 16 pixel pipelines and 6 vertex now. It was 12 pixel pipelines / 5 vertex before.

I had to decrease my engine speed on my card from 385 to 380 however, which wasn't that big a deal. Originally I was overclocking it to 385 MHZ engine clock, now its running at 380 MHZ engine clock and perfectly stable with the increased pixel / vertex pipelines. It was worth decreasing the engine clock by 5 mhz for the increased pipelines / vertex.

3Dmark03 went from 9600 to 10400, so a good improvement.

    Sincerely,
    Bitpower

16 pipes and 5 vp up and running on my Gainward 6800 LE. What a bargain that card was, eh? :)

I've only run 3dMark 01-05 with 4x FSAA and 8x AF though, I'm worried about that one post where someone got artifacts in Doom 3. How likely is that to be common amongst soft-modded cards? I haven't got Doom 3 atm, so I cannot test it out myself. Worst case scenario would be to disable everything before playing though, right?

Thank you for providing such an excellent tool Unwinder. Much kudos on a splendid job.

Hi, could someone help me here (it's a link)?

Bella e grazie mille, Emanem! :D

    Ps. Really it's for mod's sake! ;)

Start 8x1 4vp Pixel units 2,3 masked, Vertex 2,3 masked

Now 12x1 6vp, Pixel unit 3 not working fully so left off.

Last quad seems to work in 3dmark03, it doesn't cause image problems in 3dmark05 but doesn't increase speed so not sure it's working. It does cause texture corrruption in UT2004.

For interest... we started a new poll for 6800LE users on the Dutch tweakers site last night, and these are the results so far:

    http://poll.dezeserver.nl/results.cgi?pid=20585&layout=2&sort=prc

As you can see, the number of 16x1, 6VP 6800LEs is impressive, and overclocking reports from fully activated cards are also good.

It feels slightly unfair when I compare my 3d Mark score and see X800 Pros getting lower results (at 1024x768 default res). The X800 Pro costs over twice as much as my 6800LE! :D

Enabling 6vp when playing at high AF and AA is actually a fraction slower! ...memory bottleneck caused by enabling the extra unit?

    AquaMark

    4xAA 8xAF 1024x768 clocks:325/750

    12x1, 5vp
    FPS: 37.6

    12x1, 6vp
    FPS:37.8

    16x1, 5vp
    FPS:39.3

    16x1, 6vp
    FPS:39.0

I don’t see any realword advantage and its probably better to overclock than enable units that don’t allow you to overclock as much as you can.

On this version of RT I dont get any option for NVSTRAP, I had no problem previously. Have tried different driver sets, removed RT etc, tried the scripts all to no effect. What else can I try?

    MSI6800NU, now on 61.76 drivers

Overclocking won't work, so something is not right.
Will raising the core-voltage help and if it might, how do i do that?
Or should i just forget about it and re-disable back to eighter 12x1,6 or 16x1,5 and try to oc at those settings?

    thx unwinder.

Can i damage the card when i increase voltage from 1.4 to 1.5?? why snybody wrote some posts before that default is 1.2V?? i have 1.4!! thx

Hey guys, if you get 16/6 working, you can use "Blueremy's Mod bios" found on that 6800 hardmod page to make it work at 16/6 without RivaTuner necessary. Direct download here. Good news, I tried it on my Leadtek A400 and then flashed back to original bios, and it was restored back to 12/5! So it's not permanent, at least on a Leadtek 6800...

I did the flash with the mod bios this morning, and overclocking worked even with RT, but there must be a problem with my memory because I always become errors when overclocking. I think it´s because the original bios is for GDDR3 and I have GDDR1. Perhaps the timings are wrong.

Pixel unit 1 and 2 were hardware masked
Vertex unit 3 and 5 were hardware masked

Enabling pixel unit 2 caused artifacts. The others seem fine.

Bah, not even that RTLDSBLAH or whatever test gave artifacts. Only Doom 3.

Oh well, the real test will come when HL2 is released.

Well I thought 16x6 was working but it artifacts in Battlefront. Kinda sucks because neither FarCry nor 3dmark had any problems. It is working fine at 12x6 though.

Now think why driver failed clock testing on your system. Often, you cannot see artifacts, but the driver can. Does overclocking work in 12x1,6vp mode?
