They forgot to mention the clock speeds of that XTPE and to actualy explain to the non so knowledge person who Macci is
God ppl cheating again to obtain higher scores, lmfao. Nvidia with the geforce fx And now ati with 3dmark2005 hahhahahhahaha U really believe that card would beat a sli 6800 ultra. funny
also this is just a single benchmark, and doesnt actully show proper ingame performance, ingame performace is the same throughout all the high end cards, i just dont trust these scores anymore. --- i do have to admit tho, how ati puts this on the website, basicaly bragging about it, (its one static benchmark) the way ati is going i do personaly think they should be called Nvidia2, seems to me there just the same as Nvidia but with a different name.
Nope, I have no problem believing it as Macci's the one who did it. Macci's one of the best OCers around.....so yeah, no problem believing that at all.
Real game performance when benching even the most recent games doesn't show any evidence of a difference like this. There is some sort of optimisation with 3Dmark '05 and X800's going on, you'd be insane to think there isn't. I don't take notice of benchmark scores anymore, they're just not accurate.
Yeah i agree, ATI and Nvidia are really being stupid by paying/sponsoring Futuremark to make their cards work better with em...Thats plain stupid, so Yeah it isnt accurate...
Now here comes the problem of the validity of 3DMark, if it is trust-worthy or not. My point is, since macci got a score higher than daul 6800U in SLI mode with a single X800XT PE clocked @ 806/648 ,will that single X800XT PE perform better in real games than 6800U SLI? I don't think so. Just don't take those scores too seriously, and don't decide which video card to buy with the BS 3DMark. 9600pro socres higher than 5900 Ultra, so I need to get a 9600pro instead of a 5900 Ultra, that is just ridiculous.
You're comparing a single card overclocked with dry ice running at insane frequencies that you could never use for gaming to not one, but TWO video cards hooked together, however running at stock speeds and able to actually be used for casual use.
That only makes my point more clear. --->Higher 3DMark means nothing, its real game play that matters<--- X800pro scores higher than 6800U with 8.07 hotfix driver easily, but 6800U kicks X800pro's ass in real game play performance.
Yes, at least for now, the 6800Ultra kills the X800Pro in games (X800Pro ViVo being a different story). It makes me wonder, though, if 3dmark05 is supposed to represent the future and if it is an accurate test (which i dont say it is), then it might turn out that that the 6800s just have a flaw in them, just like for the FX cards the flaw was in the Pixel Shader support. So lets stop those endless discussions and wait for a game that can clearly show what's going on.
I just installed the newest beta drivers and scored 5586 in '05 with my X800XT PCI-E...cool! I'll post new scores when I get my 3.6GHZ processor.
