    Yes, thats the way

    If we have a look at blewouts config:

    “07” means again 3 Quads = 12 pixel pipes

    “2f” tells us the numbers of the vertex pipes, in binary it is expressed as 0010 for “2” and 1111 for “f”. Five times a “1” means he has 5 vertex pipes active.

    So the target for all 6800NU and 6800le user is to get a config like 13f0f (4 PixelQuads/6 Vertex Pipes) and that i think will the new RT manipulate in software, however that will work stays Unwinders secret :)

    how are people getting the rr1540?

    Right klick on the RT desktop icon. Choose Properties and add "C:\......exe /rr1540" in the first command line. Press OK and start RT.
    A Messagebox appears with your config.

    none of my bios flashing made any difference? i can flash it to something else maybe?

    I tried the same (flash 6800le to 6800nu), but it just changes the default core speed (300 to 325), not the activation statuses of the pipes. We have to wait for RivaTuner for this...

    That you don't have NV40.

    mh excuse me guys, but i don't understand a thing... is it true that some 6800NU have less than the 5 vertex units specified by nvidia?

    so , if i buy a 6800 i risk of getting a 4 or 3 vertex units gpu?

    GF6800 LE 128 MB 12p_softmod, fanless (24dB_total)
    GF6800 LE

    If less then 5 vertex shaders work, a chip is more likely to become a 6800 LE, that only needs 4 working units.

    Besides, since a vertex shader contains a lot less transistors then a pixel pipeline, the chance of producing a chip with less then 5 working units but with at least 12 working pipelines is really low.

    I think you´re in the wrong thread, cause you already have the "golden config":D

    On the other hand I have 100$(100 €) more in my pocket.:p

    The config shows only how much Pixel Quads and Vertex Pipes are active:

    "0a" =2 Quads= 8 Pixel Pipes
    "17" =4 Vertex Pipes
    Thats the specification of a 6800LE. Thats all.

    We are now able to understand what the numbers of the config mean, but it doesn´t tell us if the missing pipes are activatable or not.

    Flashing your bios seems only to change the core clock but takes no action to the missing pipes.

    For further actions we have to wait for the next RivaTuner release.

    I had a look at Everest. You are right it shows 6 Vertex Shaders.

    I dont think Everest reads this out, it is a constant information if a 6800 is detected I think.

    Everest also shows me 60MTexel/s for Fill Rate(???), 5 MHz GPU Takt(???) and on my card I can find only 32 MB but DDR3 RAM....:)

    So I dont trust that.

    itd good to hera people dont trust it cause my card is faster, now thsat i flashed it even when i slow down the clock speeds to what they were.
