Well I don't think there will be an increase with new drivers for 9500 is there? from the results you posted anyway there is no change.

Looks like the only cards thats gaining any improvements are the flagships.

I'm still running 4.7, think I'll miss 4.8 and see what kind of improvements there is for Official 4.9 with DOOM3. But by god that game is dark, even with maxed gamma

 

ill stick with my 4.9b... im too lazy to change lol.

 

un-friggin-believable! It's the biggest boost in game perfonmance based only on drivers ever! games tested are NFSU, UT2004, Call of Duty, NBA Live 2004, C&C Generals-Zero Hour...

 

This set were definately worth it, lovely boost in Doom3, 4.7 were nice but quite poor in D3, hopefully 4.9 gives another boost
4.8 has really took away the jerks opening doors and such smoothed it right out.

 

Yeah, no more stuttering in Doom 3 and Far Cry for me. Nice one ATI

 

Bout time thgh that ATi really pulled finger....maybe they now know that video ( PC) games and just as importantly, grapic's cards, are spinning the mega cash for the industry now.....beats hollywood hands down now. Wh00p!

Yeah they still do but i think it's a Bug in the Game itself cuz i even had this Issue back in my Geforce 4 Times.

 

What happened to the, SmartGart tab to set the AGP and FastWrite settings?

Mine doesn't have it with this 4.8 version.

I must have downloaded a corrupt version, because I don't have a SmartGart tab.

 

wanted to add my 2 cents.

my timedemo ran at 25.9 on 2nd run with cat 4.6 drivers. 1024x768 High Quality no AA/AF

upgraded to Cat 4.8 cuz i heard it helps with doom3, and surely it seems to do so with demo. jumped to 29.1 on 2nd run.

its only a 3.2FPS increase, but hey, for me thats 10%. Any bit helps. =)

hope to see better results with 4.9finals.

 

Yea, these were definitely an improvement.

 

Cat 4.8's are the best I've ever used.
