Well ... interface improvement ... when the expectation is on real OpenGL performance improvements. funny.

Most people knew this anyway. We've been waiting for it for quite some time.

I sincerly doubt that it will be released in Sept [I.O.W.: Next Driver version] because this is what always gets said.

"The driver will have a whole new interface, very aesthetically designed with a side menu that awfully reminds us of Nvidia's."

    Howcome they're borrowing Nvidia's idea? :D

    Looks pretty good though.

Nobodys borrowing anything from anybody. It was time for a change and thats the new design. You'll see Nvida with Ati's old control Panel soon enough, with some minor changes.
(Nvidia has there control that slides out to the side this is diffrent)

Really, how else would you design it?

Wow, that looks nice. Does anyone know if ATI will simply bypass the 4.8 drivers?

Wenn i guess that's the new ATI ACE Catalyst Driver you'll mentioning . It's going to be release in September as mention but not comfirm yet according to this article http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=17910
The driver will be in 40MB in size and need Microsoft .NET framework to have the driver support.

Menus on the side left, options on the right. It's similar, but not exactly alike. It's a similar approach to Nvidias CP, which has been used by nvidia cards for a while. Not that it's a bad thing.
