the cata 4,9

Hey dudes - is the cata 4,9 a driver in its own, or does it simply just fix the doom 3 issues ?

Im installing drivers for my new system, and doom is in the mail monday - might as well have it up and running perfectly.

i think its a driver on its own its probably the cat 4.8 but with a doom3 fix or maby a few updates or so

 

Yes, it is a driver of it's own, don't worry - well except it's beta.

 

yes the 4.9s are standalone drivers, meaning you its not a patch and you can uninstall current drivers and install 4.9s w/o any problems... but keep in mind that the drivers were released for doom 3, so it may have some issues with other games

 

i'll se how the 4,7 does with doom before hand

 

I kinda like the 4.9 b. A little better doom 3 performance and my Aquamark score actually got 200 points higher... And the IQ is flawless...

And yes, it's not a patch, it's a whole driver.

 

I have been using the 4.9b's since they came out and all my games play\look great..
