Since ive seen some of you not knowing how to slipstream the new service pack, or not no how, id figure id post this article from neowin.net

What slipstreaming is is basically taking your windows XP CD, copying it to your hard drive, installing SP2 into that CD, burning it back to a CD-R and using the CD to then install a fresh copy of windows XP with SP2 integrated.

    HOW TO: Slipstream Windows XP

dont forget to get the XPBOOT.BIN file located on page 2 or you'll have a fun time trying to get the CD you burned to boot (unless of course you like trying create an xpboot.bin file yourself from your XP CD)

I recommend doing this type of install on SP2 to get the most performance and relyability out of the new features.

With this prog you can also uninstall heaps of windows inbuilt progs and services.

    Highly recommended.

I've used it with sp2, no problems that I found.

Although there are obviously bugs there somewhere.

Think of it as using beta nvidia drivers.:D

Have used AutoStreamer and it's a great little program.
It does everything for you, except burn the .iso image to your CD.
    Highly recommended!

Could be buggy. The best method to slipstream SP2 is to slipstream the final SP2 into the original retail release of WinXP, which is version 2600.

im on the lookout for the origional build do you know where i can get it, btw i own an origional copy of xp pro sp1 so it is legit only the cd was damaged and i have to use a winbeta version which cant be slipstreamed into and i cannot boot from the winbeta version on 1 of my machines so i really want that origional build cant get a downlaod of it from mirc always full, so you reckon i shouldnt trust this version that i made? i would have thought the slipstream would have just overwritten all the origional beta files of sp2, it all seems fine xp pro shows it as service pack 2 no build numbers or anything like that
