    The latest ForceWare beta drivers available here at Neowin again. The files are dated 07/09/2004 and will work with all ranges of Nvidia cards. We haven't had time to test these fully and remember they are not WHQL so please be careful about using them on production systems. Enjoy.

    Just out today! :) yet to try!

    i tried them, went to play halo, and it rebooted my system, even after 2 more install attempts, using both driver cleaner and NFR, they still cause the same problems. Went back to the 62.01s and the problem isnt there. Im using Win Server 2003 but i wuldnt hav thought that wuld make a difference...?

    How do you get Far Cry to run in OpenGL? I can't even change mine off of DX9. Doesn't really matter that much as it runs smooth already, but it would be worth lookin at the differences.

    In your Far Cry directory, open "system.cfg" in Notepad, and find the line:

    r_Driver =

    make sure it looks like this (case sensitive!)

    r_Driver = "OpenGL"

    The renderer is buggy, I had to turn down shadows a bit to eliminate artfifacts. Still, the gigantic performance jump I got was worth it. Works only on nVidia cards I think (ATI cards will vary, depending on drivers).

    Your system is quick enough, so you don't need to touch this option. OpenGL looks no different than the Direct3D renderer (except for the lighting artifacts).

    I'll try em out. I'll briefly test them out with Far Cry, NFS Underground, and UT2K4 and see how they work.

    Well so far so good. Far Cry and UT2K4 seemed pretty identical to 62.01 However in NFS I could definitly tell that the stuttering issue isn't as bad as it was before. There were a couple times I noticed like a half second pause but overall it did feel smoother.
