I could see this happening. Lx3 goes to a hangout and tries to pick up a chick: Lx3: Hey there baby, wanna seem my new Alienware ALX sytem? Chick: Huh? What's that a new stereo. Lx3: No, it's my new computer. It's really l33t. Chick: So... Lx3: We could play Jedi Knight Academy together. Chick: Does it come with a big joystick? Lx3: Oh yeah! Chick: Have fun playing with your joystick. End of conversation. I don't think there's much real satisfaction in that and if there is, it is short lived, and it should never be used in a pickup.
ok only read half the first 20 post. ok alot of people are missing the question. IF i had the top rig in town, and it was proven, i would be very satasfied, i would be very satasfied owning one of the top 10.. but yes owning the top rig in town does bring alot of pride and satasfaction, just like owning the biggest house, and fanciest car. BUT no matter how good your computer is, you wont be the most satasfied in town. There will always be a father out there with children who is the most satasfied and luckiest person in town. may he own a computer or not. So having the best computer in town, will boast your ego a ways, but as far as ego is concerned. it sure doesnt mean alot.
All I have to say is "WoW" This thread has gone every direction with every conversation possiable...LOL!! I just had to respond after reading BrainXP's view of LX3 picking up a chick, that was funny as hell, I just had to post something... To funny to pass up. Oh, and I know I dont have the fastest rig in town, but if I could devise a way to even check if I did have the fastest rig in town I would be a Multi-Billion dollar man for designing the worlds largest X-ray machine two see into peoples homes... Point is even if you do have the Fastest thing in town, Who cares, and more importent, who the hell even would know!
I have the fastest rig of anyone I know. And everyone thinks i'm so sinful for wasting so much money on my computer and all the computer games I have. I know I know, most of you gurus have a way more powerful system than me.
