No, I was implying that you were stating the obvious. Only messing around. :)

Well.. i dunno you guys, but, i dont see those screens too so far away from now.. i mean, just look at stalker, doom 3 and hl2.. dont you really think that using the best of those powerfull engines we ll not be getting a game at least close to those screens ??? its just a question of time.. maybe abaut 2-3 years.. you have to keep in mind that, atm, the enverioment is, in some games, really close to the reality ( Just look some fc shots maxed out with the cold textures... or stalker ones..) whats is hardest to get so close to the reality is the people, monster.. you know what i mean, but, in those scrennshots there is jut buldings and trees.. and i really think that in 2-3 years we are gonna see some games like those screenshots.. maybe i am wrong but.. just look at the jump betwin this generation cards ( nv3x - nv4x and r3xx r4xx) just imaging abaut what is gonna be posibly to do with the next generation ( nv5x - r5xxx ? ) make me exited abaut... 2-3 years ... thats the time left to see those screens on our computer :p

    Or even b4 that. :p
    The 3rd picture could be 3dMurk's 2003 Nature test + HDR. ;)

Then everyone will scream that Nvidia is "hacking drivers" and have clip plan + that is not the HDR standart, and goes back to FP16 all the time :D

yeah maybe the cards in the future will be able to render everything but IMAGIN THE INSANE WORK IT WILL REQUIRE FOR THE ARTISTS/3DDESIGNERS !!!!!

  10. What you all don't have that 152Hz refresh monitor?

The one made by nVIDIA with a built in Geforce 6800U?

In fact, it also has an Athlon 64 built in too. When you turn the monitor off, you can see the hardware in it through the screen.

It's like an iMac, except it doesn't suck.

  13. Sometime, the games will be in a vitual holodeck, and anytime you get shot, you'll feel a pinch or something and your 'virtual' body will have bullet holes with blood coming out.

    Heh

That would be cool...too bad I won't be here to see it ;)

How come? With this pace, ATI and NV are sure to come up with so powerful chips in some 10 years or so, 3d will hardly be any different from real world - at least indoor scenes. (if PoWerVR doesn't beat them to it ;))
