People keep saying how changing certain options, or trying new drivers does/does not increase performance. How can u come to this conclusion unless u try both d3d/open gl based games.
What 3d mark may show, may not be the same as what trying a game does !!!!!!!
Please take this into concideration.

Im a gamer so I allways test them in tons of games to the 22.50 drivers work great on all my games there very stable.
So OpStar you like the 22.40's? Of course you do you already said that. There the only ones I haven't tried. Ok off to the download page.
okay you win. You confused me. Am I supposed to respond to that post or what??
Yes, det 22.40 are the new king!
Fast! I jumped from 2676 (21.83) to 2906 with my lame Gforce2 mx!
Got better and crisp gfx in all my games, and they are faster too!
Yep, all my games work great. Deus Ex has never run better and Max Payne is even more violent than before. 22.40's rule!
22.40's messed me a bit while installing (i haven't been changing my drivers since 12.90), but after passing through that stage, it totally rocks on my sys... Get it for the GaMes!
I also am a huge gamer. Racing Sims only. I run Nascar4, Nascar Heat, Grand Prix Legends religiously, to name a few. I also love benchmarking and testing drivers for my NVIDIA GEFORCE2 ULTRA, on my P4 1.4 ghz. Dell 8100 system. The 22.40's and 22.50's benchmarked me over 4000 for the first time ever (4200 range to be exact, thats without any overclocking), but the fps were horrible in Nascar4 (open GL run game), and in Grand Prix Legends. In Legends, the menu screens literally disintegrated to a fragmented pinkish color (d3d run game). So I am very interested to see if future 22.?? solve these problems, but maintain the benchmark speed "AND" game fps also!!
these are the first for me since the 12.90's that were fast and awesome in all my games, I'm thoroughly impressed, ALSO, now my card is noticed as a GeForce 2 Ti instead of a NV??...lol
im a hardcore gamer too....the 22.50's seem to work best for me....i noticed that the 22.80's would give me a gray screen after my computer went to stand by an came back up......i couldnt do anything but reboot to fix it....curious if anyone else had this problem!
Geforce 2 MX 32 meg SDR 200Mhz

I'm a hard core gamer too, but prefer the 2240 driver I find it more stable then the 2250 driver with better color, clarity and still get a decent FPS boost.

This message was edited by Darthr on 06 Nov 2001 04:33 PM
I have to say that 3DMark2001 is becoming a not very accurate benchmark tool. Why well I just ran it today and my score was off by 6% when I compared it to others on there website. I am willling to bet that other 6% can be made by owning a Geforce 2 MX 400 card.

All so all you people going around saying that a 1 gig processor will make a difference in games. Not according to 3DMark2001 as I have a P3 550Mhz and was only off the mark by 6%. What it all comes down to is not so much how fast a processor you have but the qaulity of drivers you are running for your hardware. If you have good drivers for your hardware you can still pull off good in game performance even on a slower processor.

The other thing turning me off when it comes to 3DMark2001 is the fact that unless you own a 900Mhz processor you can not compare processor performance any more. What is up with that, lots of people still use slower processors?

This message was edited by Darthr on 07 Nov 2001 05:10 PM

This message was edited by Darthr on 07 Nov 2001 05:11 PM
