The card should have came with Ulead Video Studio 7 SE did it not?

That's a good place to start with VIVO...but yeah, get the latest WDM driver...as the video drivers are not coupled with the WDM for VIVO.

If the box tunes the channels, then yes.

Does anyone know if there is an oppptional remote control for sale?!?

I mean, on my card I have VIVO but i'd also prefer to have a remote control so i'd be able switch between channels.

also i have no diea how to get video in, it looks like an S-video cable which would mean that I have to plug it in into a scart thingie and then into my TV which later leads to my GFX card.

But is there like an adapter where i can just use a regular TV cable and plug it into my GFX card.

I know my statements seem incoherant but I can't think of an easier way to explain it. :/

Basically if you want to output your TV signal to your GFX card, do this:

TV -> Scart adaptor [Has to be one that can do output] -> S-video or AV cable -> GFX card dongle -> GFX Card VIVO Port

If you want to produce a signal on your TV, you do this:

TV <- Scart adaptor [Has to be one that can do input] <- S-video or AV cable <- GFX card dongle <- GFX Card VIVO Port

NOTE: You can get three types of scart adaptors; Input only [For TV in], Output only [For TV out] or Input/Output [Has a switch to let it do either].
If it doesn't say what it is on the adaptor, assume it's Output only.

No Windows Media Player will not allow you to capture VIVO.

As I said above, try Dscaler:

    http://deinterlace.sourceforge.net/

There are a few others, but you'll have to search google for them.

So what about just regular cable?

I mean I just plug an antenna into my card or is that just for TV cards where i can directly plug in the tv antena into the card.

I got the whole scart thing but that would be too expensive since the TV is like 10 yards away from my computer and that would be just too expensive.

    ohh yeah, one more question.

Does the TV have to be turned on for me to get Video in on my puter using the scart solution?

    Yes, obviously.

You can't use an AV -> Coaxial cable as it's not a supported signal.
You can use he following, but it will depend on your TV:

TV -> AV cable [Male to male] -> GFX card dongle -> GFX Card VIVO Port

You can replace TV with other devices such as a cable box, PS2, Gamecube, ect.
