Well, I prefer to see things with my own eyes and not jump on premature conclusion panic train. And general copy and read speed is fine here. Well, of course compared to Linux world, it's garbage. But that won't ever change, so.. whatever.

It works great on newer PC's, however. I would not install it on an older machine. Lucky I've be fortunate enough to be on the "somewhat" latest tech and haven't had performance issues yet.
This isn't something that will affect the average gamer, games (even those using directstorage) can't max out an ssd or nvme. It may affect datasets that require heavy throughput. also notice how the reddit thread referenced the original post is about download speeds XD. The issue is only affecting nvme's with a DIPM bug
