Hi All, Just got a shiny new 4090 (KFA2 SG1) what an upgrade even from my 3090! Just wondering what peoples GDDR Temps are, according to my monitor when benchmarking and running various 3DMark applications my GPU is around 42oC and my GDDR reports (T-Junction) between 80-82oC Seem OK? Especially GDDR wise? I remember my 3090 having GDDR temp issues the solution was an active backplate in conjunction with my water block I have an aftermarket Alphacool Eisblock installed on my 4090 What do you guys find the best software for measuring clock speeds, temps, etc
I use HVWINFO64 my GPU Mem Junction Temp never goes above 60 degrees Celcius. Yours seem a bit high, not sure if that's ok or not.
Right ive just checked with HWInfo and it doesnt even show my GPU, it was the same with my 6900xt so probably a MOBO thang
I use HWMonitor. On my card, memory temps are in the 60s with a +1000mhz overclock. If you see 80C in HWMonitor, I think you have a problem given how cool the GPU is. I haven't seen anybody else report such high temperatures. It's possible that the KFA card measures temperatures differently. You should try to find others with KFA cards to compare results.
I've only been building PC's for 20 years guys! Forgot a thermal pad on the top 3 GDDR chips! Any way after draining the loop and properly installing my water block everything looks OK! Ran 20 loops of Speed Way on 3DMark stress test and it passed! GPU at 2715MHz siting at 50oC and GDDR never went above 62oC during the test! Interestingly enough, when I ran the stress test earlier it still passed with the RAM topping out at 100oC though! I thought I had been ripped off and bought a 3090 ex-mining card! Appreciate all the input!
Software not 100% accurate but I use MSI/RTSS,HWinfo64,GPU-z are all fine. I have owned a few RTX 4090.One even did higher than your 82°C on memory but was 100% fine. The RTX 4090 I am gaming on today is air cooled and looking at this 2.5 Hours video looks like memory 60°C which is also 100% fine. GPU temperatures shown onscreen display if anyone wants to check
It happens to everybody, hey NV sent out wobbly power connectors and AMD produced a vapour chamber half full ha ha ha, glad its sorted.
Ok, realised my version of HWInfo was about a million years old. So with latest version my T Junc is 20c ha ha ha
its ddr6x, anything under 100c its ok, of course lower is better 80c is absolutly ok a call it standart temp problem with this vram its on 3090 because have 2 side a second side its cooled only with backplate ada have only one side and its cooled well and its better than old, have lower power compsumtion i have 30-50st depends on load, water cooled
