Liquid metal on an aluminum heat sink graphics card causes this

    We use liquid metal, since when? I don´t know, maybe >20 years?
    I just wonder why attention is only now being drawn to it.
    I've been using it since there is liquid rubber, "plasti dip".

    You gotta get aluminum over 1,700'c (3,100'f) for it to actually burn. At those temps you'd lose more of it to oxidation than anything. Welding aluminum is a pain in the neck. I've been learning TIG welding lately.
