Not sure if it's the driver or something else, but Windows 10 refuses the get past the welcome screen when i force it to display on my 4K TV, which is connected via a active optical HDMI cable (10 meters long). It shows the desktop background, avatar and two dots of the spinning loading icon, but then it sort of stalls. I can move the cursor around as well, but there is nothing to click on.

It works fine when i let it boot to my monitor and then use Win+P to switch it to the TV. Which is what i always do anyways. But it's just something i noticed just now when doing some other testing.

These are provided internally to puget systems.

Unbearable amounts of desktop flickering upon wake, DLDSR/DSR is not enabled. On a 4090. Reverting drivers for now.

RTX 3080 10GB can't idle after alt-tab with these, it stuck at "boost" clocks. No such issue with previous drivers.

if your game app is still open, it won't, by intent.

NO, it's DX11 app in fullscreen and it downclocks correctly after Alt-Tabing to desktop with previous driver.

Do you have the Power Management Mode in the Nvidia driver profile for the game set to Prefer Maximum Performance? If so, try to set it to Normal (Nvidia Control Panel) or Optimal (Nvidia Inspector) and see if that helps.

No, it's on Normal in Global Settings. No app/game profile have Prefer Max. Perf. set up

HDR switching with madvr still broken. I'm now on Win11 and it made no difference upgrading the OS from 10.

Well.. "working as intended"... yeah, sure

After rollback to 527.56 which is not affected by this bug (I forgot to mention 528.02 is also affected), it's downclocking correctly

I have never gotten this to work either. Figured I have it set up wrong or something to do with my not super high end monitor.

Probably just let it go, IHV exclusive HDR APIs are legacy zombies vs. Windows HDR API.

can unstable oc lead to nvlddmkm.sys errors on event viewer?

I think that was the case with me.

Works here but sometimes stops working prompting to reboot - works fine again after that. Can't be bothered to hunt down what makes it not work.

Yes, especially unstable RAM often causes logged driver crashes. But it can also be driver or game bug, needs thorough testing.
