Nvidia, AMD and other corporations never heard of taxes, so if you stop paying taxes, it will be 799 for 4070 Tie for you too!
Now that the reviews with benchmarks are out, it's clear this GPU is a ripoff. This should have been named 4070 (non-Ti) and cost at least $200 less. But if this is the Ti, I don't even want to know what the non-Ti will look like...
As far as the first wave of 4080 i mean 4070Ti to be sold tomorrow i heard only the OC models will be available from aib partners in stores starting at $850 - $1,000US Dollars. Maybe in an unknown future they will add the stock non OC reference vanilla cards non OC models at msrp of $800 in small quantities and good luck getting one at msrp fighting the scalper's and Bot's online. This is wayyy too much money for a xx70 class gpu wish is memory bandwidth starved with that 192bit bus as proven by Der8auer on his latest video memory is been strangled by bus limits :/
I live in denmark - we always pay considerably more for everything than 'murica - aka no, we don't get anything at 'murican msrp. But the cheapest 4080 is 11000 dkk, while the 4070 ti launches at 7000 dkk (and yes, shops actually selling it at 7000 dkk). So a very fair price for the 4070 ti in comparison.
no it doesn't from what I've seen. about 5% in comparison to 7900/3090 isn't drastic. it loses some. but they really could have made 4080 20G and this 16G for what they're asking for them, especially the 4080.
Im thinking in the UK. Cheapest 4090 - £1750 Cheapest 4080 - £1230 Maybe 4070Ti - £970? Maybe 4070 - £710?
No one's buying at these prices... what a surprise: I knew they'd start at around $900 USD for partner models (there is no reference), and that's the Eagle which no one wants. $200 CAD above what I paid for my TUF OC 3080 over 2 years ago.
