    I would buy it.
    Rather have functionality then looks. If it performance great then it doesn't matter how ugly it is

    At least it's not a shitty 4slot brick.

    I still don't know what nv was thinking making such dumb design.

    As much as i want one, Asus is dealing with bad coil whine. And that's harder to fix than fan noise.

    What's the point of silent fans when coil whine is louder than fans :rolleyes::confused:

    Cutiliciously ugly :)
    I like it (because of silence of course) and brown/sand make them unique lol

    I would like to see some AMD with this cooler too :)

    Well, i like it.

    Don`t be so sure about that because i can`t see Noctua creating a cooler silent enough without being another huge brick.

    And in a certain, they were the ones that created this concept of having gigantic coolers for GPUs...

    Bigger means more surface area, means slowing spinning fans.

    It's really that simple.

    What theDeeGee said as far your design is efficient on transferring heat and they almost perfected vapor chambers and heatpipes at this point .... Pretty much all you can do is add material

    Having built a new system last year with fully Noctua Chromax Black cooling system, it would be nice if they did the same with these GPU cards.

    Not sure while ppl spending +800$ on a gpu are still interested in aircooling.
    Unless something changed, Nv starts reducing boost clocks at 43C (and every additional 6C,
    which i havent seen any air cooled car able to hold (under load).

    even with my cpu "warming" up the loop (before the coolant reaches the gpu),
    i havent seen anything above 50C, while under full load and boosting to 2.2ghz
    completely ignoring the fact that its barely 2 slots, mainly because of inputs/mount.

    Yes something changed. With RTX 40 series there is basically no difference between air cooled card and liquid cooled card.

    Do you guys not read? Of course not, just the headline. The picture is of the 3080 version not 40.

    Technically? Because of volumes of scale. The manufacturers probably have specialist machines that can knock out thousands of radiators per day and probably can be adapted to any design of radiator easily. Plus it's a low risk technology, even if the manufacturing tolerances are off it will still work pretty well and there is no real risk of damaging the card.

    Waterblocks for VGAs, while not uncommon, are much lower production volume so wouldn't have specialised production equipment to make large quantities of them. Also they need to be able to maintain a watertight seal so you can't cut corners in all the various process required to make them.

    Realistically though. Watercooled is moar betterz, therefore MOAR expensive. (Even though AMD has proven with multiple cards that they can be made for a reasonable price)

    The shroud and backplate have a brown tint to them as well, changing fans will do nothing.

    Nobody ever comes over to my house to look inside my PC! Its pushed way under my decrepit old Salvation Army desk so it does not interfere with my bad knees. My hobbled together Dell PC has thus been in the dark for over 3-4 years and still running good. I am also very hard of hearing at my age and thus must use headphones. Otherwise life is good. here in Stehekin, WA.

    @Glottiz
    should have said "in physics", as heat transfer didnt change, so as long as the whole cooler is made from copper,
    even the most low end LC will have better heat transfer.

    @Yogi
    if you dont go and "buy the next LC card you can find", never had issues getting cards on avg ~100$ over the aircooled version.

    just the fact that it will boost higher/longer over anything air (short of external setup right under AC cooling),
    especially for the bigger chips (xx80/xx90), will make up for the price difference.

    ignoring that most brands will bin their chips, and using it in cards with a full block, again having impact on the price,
    but also increasing fps over the "cheaper" models, without requiring (added user) oc..
