Looking at the gap between the Radeon 6000 and RTX 3000 using Ray-Tracing, seems like this Spider-Man is using the GPU for BVH traversal.
I wonder if Nixxes plans on taking this improvement for the first Spider-Man.

Ironically, I've just ordered a new PC (i5-13600, 32 GB DDR4 3600, ASUS Strix Z690-A Gaming D4 WiFi etc) and now this game runs beautifully on my i7-4770K and RTX 3080 as long as I keep crowds and traffic at Very Low (doesn't look much different to High anyway) and leave DOF on Low. Cutscenes now play without any stuttering. It's a great game and like Spider-Man Remastered is another impressive PC port from maestros Nixxes.

If you were to only buy one of the games as in this one and the Spiderman remastered one which of them would you choose?

The web seems a little split on the subject with it looking pretty even. Is Miles Morales the better spiderman game?

I think there was more/better content in the first one, Morales feels like a DLC to it.
If you were to buy one you're better off with the Remastered until you can get the other on sale.

First one is a much bigger game content wise.

I prefer miles though only because I payed the first one and miles was a shorter/more distilled game.
No forced stealth sections was the main plus. But the Venom powers are a lot of fun too.

Both are extremely enjoyable. I would buy them discounted and play them in order. The stories are tied together from what I can tell. Very cool games.

Playing on RTX 3070Ti and the game has frametime spikes stutters, guess the 8GB of Vram not good enough .Does not happen on RTX 4090.
Think I stop playing until AMD new 7900XTX is released and try it again.

If you play at 4K with Very High textures, 8GB isn't enough.

10GB is the minimum for it, I see mine 3080 constantly touching the 9.6GB.

I really like the Dynamic between Pete and Miles. Both Spiderman games are extremely well done. As you all have stated the Raytracing has leveled up a notch. The visuals are practically identical with or without DLSS. I gotta give NIXXES credit for their hard work.

You can mitigate the issue in a few ways. You can use high textures instead v.high or use more agressive dlss as internal resolution will be lower it will use less vram.

Even at 1440p ultrawide i can see system ram usage going up as i play so game is swaping ram for vram therefore stuttering but not that severe as im right on that edge.

Time to get a 12-16gb card.

    HI @XenthorX,

The story is great thus far. :) I am playing GOW Ragnarok to breakup the Spider-Man monotony. Miles Morales is also a great benchmarking tool for the 4090. I'm getting great results.

No! It came too late. I finished it and want to play Spider-Man 2 now. Unfortunately, it will likely be a long time before that hits the PC. :(

    Hi @bobnewels,

Lol. I should've typed I'm playing GOW Ragnarok on PS5. :D Santa Monica did a fantastic job on PS5 and I will replay it again on PC. The 4090 will really bring out the visuals in 6-8K resolution.

I just updated the Z790-F. I'm about to give Miles another benchmark test in the snow. Playstation games on PC are just that darn good!

I just noticed that my Frame Generation options are greyed out in both Spider-Man games. They were just fine yesterday.

Should not be like that on RTX 4090,That is very strange for sure.I wonder if they will be greyed out on AMD 7900XTX.

    NICE!

AMD kinda reminds me of Nintendo. They're staying in their lane and just make nice products. I would very much like to see your results with both Spider-Man games on the 7900XTX.
