New map was a bit different from how it looked in vids - much more focus on CQC. Jackfrags is on crack though... this map doesn't look any better than previous maps though, and bf1 still looks better.
Not ready to give 2042 another chance, but glad to see seem try ot make something out of it. Could be a good base for their new devs to get used to the engine and tools.
It seems DICE has forgotten to remove grenade "team switching" behaviour for throwing knives. For grenades, whenever an enemy dies mid throw (after pulling the pin but before the grenade leaves his hand), the grenade switches team to yours and it effectively becomes your grenade. Now throwing knives don't deal any team/self damage for obvious reason. So i've scored a post-mortem headshot on a guy who killed me but i died mid throw, making the knife a dud. So now he's running around with my/his knife in stuck dead center in his forehead.
I actually like the new map, it's just the right size for infantry and vehicles. It's much better than Exposure and Stranded IMO.

If they take Metro, it will be very popular (probably more so than any of the new ones outside of portal mode). At least that's where I would place my bet in
As my son and I have the ultimate game pass we have reinstalled BF2042. Having a great time really turned this game around.
